Hi @KiwiKizzy86

few questions for you (they showed up fine for me)

  1. Where are you holding your events ?
  2. Which household are you playing and having issues with ?
  3. Are you using any mods ?
  4. Which packs do you own ?

So I recently had a wedding. The mixologist arrived just fine and made drinks. The bar for the venue had food as an option so my guests weren’t hungry. There was a professional kitchen and a grand piano. The pianist and caterer never did anything. It said they were on the lot, but everyone I hovered over said guest. I had to have the bride go bake the cake. Very frustrating.

Ah,, I just found it too. It might have to do with two weddings in a row. It also could have something to do with the sims job. Apparently, if you request a special NPC its a temporary job, so it don't change the career level of the npc. They can still drive you crazy though. The Pianist won't show up in my save. It says npc on lot, but never appears, or appears and leaves.

There's something like a 20 sim max limit in the currently active lot/area.

I can imagine if you have a bride and groom, and 15 guests that doesn't leave much space for hired staff. They probably have a lower spawn priority than the guests, because you'd definitely be upset if they were missing.

If there are sims in the background, like a bunch of joggers then they'd probably have to leave before the game could spawn in the hired staff.

Ohhh I didn't think of that. I'll try one with fewer people. Thanks

19 Sims plus mixologist would =20, which would explain why the pianolet never showed up in my game the entertainer was a low priority.

Wish there was a way to change that limit on faster computers

Edit: So after just recently experiencing this the active lot reached the max limit of 20 sims  per lot so its not a bug and working as intended. Standard smile

Edit: I got to thinking part of my active sims are counted as the 15 so I came up with a formula that I have figured out the cause.

So the 15 guest are a mix of active/non active sims +2 for Bride and Groom +1 for Mixologist, if your venue has the wishing well or someone is pregnant in the group you need to count it as at least 2.  The wishing well can create sims, so I wonder if that is the problem.  So pregnant sims count as +2 and Well at least needs +1 sim space to work.

So you go 15+( 2 )+1+1=19  The last slot is left open for the wishing well on the lot.

It's even like this that household Sims seem to count towards the limit as well. Whether they are there or not.

I tested some overstuffed households that had 20 Sim in them and no employees ever came to vet clinics and restaurants even though I just went to the venue with one Sim.

That could apply only for those specific households as I haven't done thorough testing with normal ones.
