my girlfriend plays sims 4 on my pc
w10, ssd, i7, 16gbram, gtx1080ti
she had the same problems
Game Freeze/ Extended Loading Times/ Save Game Bloating
after the father winters

my solution
install update
do that

repair sims 4 in origin
play the game
the father winters is appearing and immediately disappears again after load the old save game
its a little of Game Freeze/ Extended Loading Times/ Save Game Bloating
but it will better and better
now 30 minutes later it is normal as before the bug

Is there an update on how to fix this as I'm having the same issue and it's been about a month now...

You can only install the new patch from today and load your old save game.
Than wait a long time
maybe one hour
maybe it get run, mayby it need time to repair itselfe
A PC is much stronger as an xbox, maybe xbox need more time

i dont know, is the patch for everyone or only for PC?

I found the reason behind the lag/freeze: "Father Winter doesn’t appear at Winterfest/ Endless Generation of Father Winter." If anyone else is experiencing this issue, @crinrict may have a solution at https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2020/11/father-winter-doesnt-appear-at-winterfest-endless-generation-... . My issue was not resolved as it may have been too late to fix, but maybe it can help someone else.

Today, when I signed in Origin it started updating again so you screw up the game again. You did nothing again, the game is still completely unplayable. It just loads for a long time than crashes. I've had enough, I want my money back, I have no hope anymore the game will ever work again...

I tried to copy links to my saved games with google drive. I have no idea if I did it right. But I'm sure you can't do anything to fix the game...
