Then maybe something is still off with your drivers ?

As I don't  want to derail this thread too much, could you start a new thread in the tech forum here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/bd-p/The-Sims-4

Attach your DxDiag again and say you need help with your drivers or something along these lines.

is it possible that the problem is with the setting on something called AMD Radeon?

Re: [COLLECTION THREAD] Autonomy and Simulation Lag (Seasons Patch Edition)

★★★★★ Guide

sorry @crinrict at work again and just read this (game computer back at home)

because I hated playing s4 without the weather + calendar (so addictive now!) I added everything back. The idle issue still occurred so what I did, no idea why I did this, but I zoomed all the way out and with every single npc I enabled the cheat and clicked that reset debug option on every single one of them (my sim included) on the entire map, turned out that there is always one npc (townie) that causes the idle bug.

> In Brindleton Bay it was a townie vet

> in Oasis Springs it was a townie mixologist

> In San Myshuno it was a townie vampire

> In Newcrest it was a townie chef  working at chez llama

These are the only places I was experiencing the bug. Unfortunately if I deleted this townie the new one that spawned to replace them also caused the bug so for now I've given them hot pink hair so I can instantly see them to debug click so they don't break immersion too much. But yep, that's the fix for me now.

Re: My sims 4 game is very laggy. How do I fix this?

Hero

HI @vikixc

your specs look fine. Guess you'll probably are plagued by this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/COLLECTION-THREAD-Autonomy-and-Simulation-Lag-Seasons-Patch/td...

Are you using the same save game as on your old computer ?

If you're ok with it, I'll move your post over to the other thread.

Yes, I am using the same save, the only difference is my Sims are bald because I removed all of the CC.
However, it is also laggy when I start a new game, there maybe a minor reduction in the lag but it is still present and buggy.

Yes please move it to that thread, thanks Standard smile

@vikixc moved your posts over (your post is on page 13 cause of the date)

I fear there's not much more I can advise other then the info on the first page.

Maybe your save would be useful as well as some of the other info asked on the first page. Thanks.

Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD FX6300
AMD Radeon R9 280x
10GB RAM
244gb free on primary C Drive
687 GB Free on D Drive where TS4 is installed

Save game is 33.1 mb

Lagging still occurs on a new save, although it is slightly less bad. I have major lag issues in restauraunts and cafes especially the ones I have made in Newcrest. (I saw the memory leak thread on the front page) it could be related.

Also tried running in 32 and 64 bit as well as the things I have listed before.
