Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I was first playing the game on my Galaxy Tab S3, but since the tablet needed to be charged, I switched to my Asus ZenPad 3S 10. When I logged back in the game, I noticed that some of game progression was lost and a Sim I created to fill my last Sim slot had disappeared. Not only the Sim disappeared and the slot now is empty, but the game does not allow me to create a new Sim. The game is acting as if the slot has already been filled, and when I touch on the green "Create" icon, nothing happens. My game is broken, and now I am with an empty Sim slot that is unusable.



What do you expect to see? I want either my Sim back or have the empty slot to become usable again. It is like the empty slot is occupied by an invisible ghost and it is totally broken.

I was first playing the game on my Galaxy Tab S3, and I had just finished creating a Sim for the last Sim slot, but since the tablet needed to be charged, I switched to my Asus ZenPad 3S 10. When I logged back in the game, some of game progression was lost, and the newly created Sim was nowhere to be found. He just simply disappeared. I tried to create a Sim again by touching the empty Sim slot, which the missing Sim previously occupied, but it is not allowing me to create a Sim. I am now stuck with three Sims with an empty slot that I can not use. Also, the family portrait of the house has changed after my Sim disappeared. It no longer shows the Sims of my household, but it just shows a picture of buildings.
 
Some of my furniture and items have disappeared as well. I have reinstalled the game several times on my devices, and I have also cleared the cache and data several times as well, but nothing has fixed the problem. I have contacted the technical support about the issue, but all I received was a generic looking letter with a piece of advice to clear the cache and data of my devices, which solved nothing. I really don't want to create another account and restart the game from scratch since I have already made progress in the game and used some of my real money to purchase SimCash. I really don't know what to do. Everything was working fine until last night, but now the game is messed up and broken for me.

I can't help you with the lost progress but have you tried tapping the portrait to go into the menu there? I had it display a landscape once and doing that fixed the portrait.

I have tapped on the portrait, and I saw the three Sims I currently have, but the portrait itself did not get fixed. I have an empty slot for a Sim when I click on the portrait, but when I click on "Create" nothing again happens. Also, I am not too worried about the loss of progression of the game, but the thing that really bothers me is that I can't make my fourth Sim at the moment. Not only had I lost the Sim I created, but now the last Sim slot is broken.

 

The slot is currently empty as I mentioned in my original post, but the game does not allow me to create a new Sim. I am stuck with three Sims and an empty slot. I contacted the technical support, but they said they don't know when it will get fixed. I have done reinstalling of the game so many times that I will be having a nightmare about it LOL.  Since the technical support doesn't know when the issue gets fixed, I am not sure what to do from here. I am contemplating to restart the game from scratch, but I am afraid that I might end up having the same problem again.

I have posted about the problem I have been experiencing in "Bug Report" section earlier, but now I realise that I might have posted it in a wrong section, so let me post it on here again. I am sorry, but I am new to this forum, and I am not used to it yet.

The problem I have is that my game progression didn't get saved properly on cloud, and when I logged in the game using my second Android tablet, I realised that I had lost some game progression and a Sim I created for the last Sim slot.  The Sim just vanished.

I just now have three Sims and an empty Sim slot that I can't use. The game seems to be stuck in the limbo where my Sim that previously occupied the empty slot is gone, but I am not allowed to create a Sim for that slot. The empty slot is acting as if there is a ghost Sim occpying it, and whenever I tap on the green "Create" icon on the Sim slot, nothing happens.

Another odd thing that happened is the family portrait changed after my Sim vanished; it is no longer showing the Sims I have in my household, but it is just showing a picture of buildings.


When I tap on the family portrait, I see my three Sims and one empty Sim space, but when I tap on "create", nothing happens again.


This issues are  becoming frustrating, and I am not able to play the game at its full potential because of the locked up empty Sim slot.

The devices I have been using to play the game are: Galaxy Tab S3, Galaxy s9+, and Asus ZenPad 3S 10. They are all powerful devices with 4 gig and 6 gig of RAM (s9+ has 6 gig of RAM).

I think I have read a thread with an issue similar to yours. The player contacted EA and they fixed the issue by returning to a point before the issue occured. So try contacting them via here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?product=the-sims-mobile&platform=android-phone&category=technical....

If that doesn't help, I'm sorry I'm also new here.

I have contacted the UK EA help a few times, but nothing has been resolved yet, unfortunately.   Here in the UK, if you contact the EA help, you get connected to a support located in India, and some technical support people didn't really seem to know what was going on.  They just seemed to send out generic looking mails, or read off a script.  All they could say to me was that their specialist team had been notified and that they were going to be working on a fix.  When I asked them when they thought the bugs in the game would be fixed, they couldn't give me any time estimate.   

 

It seems that the only thing I can do at the moment is either just accept the fact that I can't have my fourth Sim, because of the Sim slot not working right, or give up playing on the current game and start a new game from scratch and hoping that it won't get bugged again.   I don't like the idea of starting a new game, because I have already invested time and money into the game.  This game seems to have so many glitches, and it might not be worth playing until they sort them out.   I always liked playing the Sims, but this one is turning out to be a disappointment.
