Yeah that's because the EA App is probably just an Origin reskin, the backbone is the same...

Same issues with Battlefront 2 - launching ea desktop app gives the popup at least 5 instances. I own the main game and the celebration edition addon.
If I rename starwarsbattlefrontii_trial.exe it when launching the game it doesn't allow me to be online and will cause the game to launch by itself constantly.

Yeah well, I contacted Chat Support via their email request that I do so and I think they resolved the pop-up issue on their end (not sure what they did). However, they somehow managed to wipe all of my games from My Collection in the EA App. They then told me that this is an issue that just came up and are having a lot of people say that their games are now gone as well. Gotta lub EA.

@SupahDario and anyone else affected, another player with the same issue identified the source of the problem as a conflict with Logitech's G Hub:

I have G Hub installed but it's not running, so for me that's not the problem. Maybe it's some other app, but still weird.

It too ka couple of clicks to go online but it works for now.
New name, new look, same great benefits: EA Access and Origin Access are now EA Play.
