Stars level 771

Has anyone gotten close to 3 stars on this level?

My best is 318,900 out of 390,000 for 3 stars.

I've thrown everything I can think of at it.

Just noticed that 3 Stars for Level 921 went from 315,000 to 92,500 and

for level 771 went from 390,000 to 158,500.

Played them and got 3 Stars easily.

Yeah, this is an awful level and they screwed up the scores for the stars big time. As I mentioned in my other topic, it's quite clear they don't test their code nor play-test their game. When the level was first released, the score for 3 stars was actually 650k! It was lowered to 390k, but this still isn't possible without clever power-up use (I say clever, because my favorite thing to do is hypercube + star gem, but if you do this you'll win too quickly without enough time to rack up a huge score.

To beat this level with 3 stars (when the score was 650k!), I used a disgusting amount of hypercubes (what else would I use them for?). When I did this, I had to make sure I matched the hypercube with a color that didn't occupy too many of the stones-- lest I win too fast. I had to pray the gems falling from the top didn't spontaneously combust (like flame gems tend to do) and destroy my final stone before I had enough points.

At 390k, the score for 3 stars is still infeasibly high, still requiring many days worth of hypercubes. As a general rule, EA, any 3 star score above (number of moves * 5k) -- that is, the score you'd get for winning in 0 moves -- is far too high to reach without the use of tons of powerups. You don't even have to play the levels to realize "A player winning in 0 moves can't reach this score" to realize you set the bar too high.

As an update, level 921 (newly released level) has this problem, but worse. 315k, 35 moves (by my estimation, anything over 35 * 5k = 175k is nearly impossible without powerups). I used fast forwards and star gems over and over to carefully score points without clearing all the crystals. Wasted a TON of powerups until I beat it.

Yeah, I am through to level 960, all 3 stars, except 771 and 921.
