Saved Free Spins Disappeared After Latest Update

I had just under 800 free spins (795?) saved up in Bejeweled Blitz and a couple of weeks ago the game was updated on my iPad. As soon as it completed, there was a new style “spin page” and all my remaining free spins were gone.
