I downloaded a game that's was supposed to compatible with Mac and Windows

I downloaded a game that was supposed to be compatible with booth Mac and Windows, but after I purchased it, it won't start, and I am getting: only compatible with windows... and when I click: ¨buy version for Mac version here¨, I am not getting to a page where I can do that..? I am using a Mac.
