If you are have connected the game to Facebook, try reconnecting to Facebook within the game. Before the last update, I was playing on the Scintillating Sands level, and after the update, I couldn't play anything on that island. When I looked at things on another device, it didn't think I'd completed the previous island.
Just out of curiosity, in getting 3 stars on all games within Scintillating Sands and the previous island, how are you doing it? Are you using coins for extra lives? Or powers created in the power lab? Or have you gotten lucky and gotten the dark sphere? What?
