Bejeweled 3 Error, Unable to Play

I am getting a "crashed" note on my already installed program...I uninstalled and reinstalled with my original Bejeweled 3 CD. I am still getting the same notice about the "crash" and I can't start the game. Help.

I know this is a very old post but for people like me who had to search for an answer but never found one I decided to test things and see what i could do. 

I FOUND THE FIX

1-  right click the bejeweled desktop icon

2- click properties

3- select compatibility tab

4- run the compatibiliy troubleshooter

5- test the game and confirm settings

nice, it changed the compatibility mode to Windows 7, and then game finally launched for me

The patch works from wiki without having garbage resolution 
place in game folder with DLL launch from patch works great
