Summarize your bug Game prompts me to press x to start but does not advance past title screen. I've tried waiting for 10 minutes and turning my controller off and back on but nothing works. This happened a few months ago and I have not been able to play the game.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sire
What happens when the bug occurs? Game locks up at title screen, music and animations still play
What should be happening instead? Game should continue to main menu

Is the controller set to player 1?

This is how to clear local and cloud saves for PS4, however it will delete your single player progress.

On PlayStation 4

1. Open your Settings menu.
2. Go to Application Saved Data Management.
3. Choose System Storage.
4. Select Delete.
5. Choose Battlefield V and pick the files you want to delete or use Select all to delete all Battlefield V save files.
6. Select Delete again and hit OK to confirm.
7. Go to Online Storage.
8. Choose Delete.
9. Choose Battlefield V and pick the files you want to delete or use Select all to delete all Battlefield V save files.
10. Select Delete again and hit OK to confirm.

I had this happen last week or so.
Rebuild my PS4's database and was able to load up BFV proper after that.
Also check for updates, if you have not did so already.

A power cycle can usually help with errors like that too. Keep us updated on whether you're still stuck.

Power Cycle

1. Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
2. Turn it back on after 1 minute. Launch the game.

Nope no luck. Rebuilt the database, checked for game updates and updated the system software. Still same problem.

I know it's not ideal, but have you tried reinstalling the game?

In the past, we've seen situations where players can get stuck on the main screen if they have a device plugged into the USB slot. Do you have any dongles or USB sticks currently in the USB slot on the console?

Yes I've reinstalled the game twice. I do have my turtle beach plugged in the front USB so maybe I'll try taking that out when I get home.

Still no luck, tried unplugging all accessories and install system and game update but still can't get past the title screen. ☹

That did it! Thank you so much! I don't mind that the single player got erased since I only played through once and didn't unlock too much.
