Game won't start post - 2014-11-14 Update...

I played the game most of the afternoon with no issue however my computer crashed when I tried to exit the game.  After rebooting, the game will not start.  I've tried:

Reinstalling BF-V

Uninstalling BF-V, purging Origin cache, updating graphics driver and then reinstalling

I've watched the game attempt to launch (through task manager) however it fails/crashed/closes (with no error message) and then returns to Origin...

Update:

I installed C&C Tiberium Sun 4 last night and that somehow fixed BF-V....

Can't say its a solution but it may get your game up and running if you experienced the same issue.

Thanks for posting.

It is likely the secondary installations (DirectX and Visual C) that installed with Tiberian Sun helped you here.

For everyone else, when installing BFV, make sure you do select the secondary installations when setting up the game.

There is no chance to select anything. Origin just installs the game.

Is there a means to reinstall just the peripherals?

You can manually run those secondary installations as follows:

Find the following files at your game install location and right click then Run as an Administrator:

Origin Games\Battlefield V\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist\vc_redist.x64.exe

Origin Games\Battlefield V\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist\vc_redist.x86.exe

Choose install or repair. Let us know how this goes, thanks.
