@N4v1s I was running Afterburner and there was never a difference in any of the values. The only change was after the game crashed to desktop when all the values dropped. It remained steady otherwise.

  1. Did you try using DDU to do a proper clean uninstall of your GPU drivers as suggested followed by installing the latest ones?
  2. Have you tried running a memtest on the memory?
  3. Did you try lowering memory speed and GPU speed? underclocking them? from what to what?
  4. What does the Windows event viewer say about the crash after it has happened?
  5. Have you tried renaming the Battlefield V folder in documents?
  6. What are the temperatures when the machine crashes?
  7. Did you perform the clean boot as described in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows and did you try starting the game during that clean boot?
  8. Did you try reinstalling the sound drivers your motherboard and other sound devices?

@Carbonic
1. I have done a clean uninstall of my GPU drivers. I reinstalled the latest driver to no avail. I also tried to install an earlier driver, version 416.81, but was unable to install it due to Windows version.
2. I have run a memory test and no issues were found.
3. I have not tried to underclock my memory and GPU speed. Changing speeds is not something I've ever done in my history of PC gaming.
4. There's no log in the Windows Event Viewer.
5. I have not tried renaming the BFV folder in documents.
6. Temperatures are relatively normal between high 50s and mid 60s. Celsius, of course.
7. I have performed a clean boot and I did start the game in that state. Experience unchanged.
8. I reinstalled all of my sound drivers.

@Carbonic I revisited the Clean Boot state to check the Event Viewer under such conditions and this time I received a response after the crash to desktop:

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

For me, these errors are tied to OutOfMemory exceptions.

Dont even waste your time, its a bug in the game. I have over 1800 hours into BFV and now once again its crashing to desktop without any errors in event view. This has been around forever, I was getting it when the game first came out, went away now its back. I have done everything on these boards and the problem still persists. This only happens in BF series games, I never crash when playing COD, Halo, CS:GO, Insurgency or any other FPS. Dice/EA just cant get it right.
