Avatar meets requirements, but won't upload.

Good evening. I hate to clog up the questions with something like this, but it is frustrating.

On EA.com, in my profile (I followed the link from Origin), I click the pencil by my current avatar and it brings up a pretty generic upload window in the browser. I find the image I want which is 300kb, 552x414, 96dpi, and 24 bit and is saved as a jpeg. However when I choose it, I get this error message with a large red X next to it "Select an image from your computer (JPEG, PNG, GIF - 10MB max)"

Any ideas?

@1soup Save it as a PNG file and you should have no issues. I tested it on my own account and it uploaded perfectly.
