Battlefield era suggestion: USA Civil War-1860s

Any chances it ever happens? I think it would be a cool time period to play battlefield in.

@DyeusVita We'd need Powder and Ball carriers .
We'd need a whole squad just as Cannon Wrestlers .
Medic too would likely be a full time position .
In this War , it's likely not everyone needs to fire a gun .

@tempo_rarity They’re implementing ai in bf2042 so some of these support positions could be filled by one user and a team of ai? Though would be interesting if people would play if there was a defensive position.

I'm honestly not sure how it'd pan out but would worry about the gameplay being a bit slow, for example being able to only fire at 3 RPM. Then again, as it's just my perception, I might be incorrect about that.

If anyone is interested though there is War of Rights, which I believe is similar as it's an FPS set during the War of Independence.

@DyeusVita There was a BF1942 mod of this back in the day, had recon balloons etc. It looked all right but I don't think it would resonate with the community today at all.
