Hey all, figured now's as good a time as any to get a clan/platoon recruitment thread going for all those eager beavers chomping at the bit to get their names out there. To start, I'd like to create a basic template for users to refer to - while this doesn't need to be strictly followed 100%, please keep things simple.

- Quick overview of who y'all are and the types of things you like to do in-game and IRL. Are you casual or competitive? What sort of game modes are your favourite and why should that sexy recruit pick you over the others?

- Try to limit this to around 3 to reduce clutter/spam - Things like Discord, Twitter, and the like will do nicely.
Games & Platforms
- The main focus of this thread is for Battlefield titles but feel free to add the0 other types of games you play.
- Do you play on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Mobile, or Stadia?
Timezone
- Please indicate the clan leader's local timezone and, if you're big into hosting events, a rough time you usually like start.
- Refer to https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html if you're having trouble converting to your local time.

How To Apply
- Is there a specific member you would like to have DM'd. Are you fancy and made your own application form? Direct all traffic how you see fit.
Small talk/banter is welcomed but to reduce spam, I'd like to ask all Clan Leaders to please keep any propaganda bumps to a weekly limit of 1 to start - we may increase/decrease this down the road but I don't want to make things overly strict.

About Us
We feel that no one should ever have to game alone or be subjected to a negative environment online.
The Pork Chop Platoon (PCP) is one of the premier gaming communities for older gamers on the XBOX console since 2007. At the Pork Chop Platoon we are constantly maintaining a culture that is fun and where no one takes the game or themselves too seriously. Yes, that means we are a non-competitive XBOX gamer community. Our co-ed community consists of members from across the US and Canada as well as Europe and Australia. Good times and camaraderie outweigh kill/death ratios, though we do like to PTFO and win games.
I myself did not want to join a platoon and felt that I am not “clan material” and did not want any commitment. However, I got tired of playing with people who did not communicate or worked together in-game. Joining the PCP community gave my online gaming a new spark and the gaming experience changed so much to the better that I wish that I had done this step earlier. If this sounds familiar maybe then your experience can be better as well?

Our focus is on being an approachable XBOX community.
Timezone
The majority of our members is located in North America. Therefore most hosting events will take place around 8pm EST. Our team has dedicated hosts for very popular titles and there is usually at least one Community Night for those titles on weekly basis. Annually we host a LAN party that is attended by 50+ members each year – implying that there is no Virus going around.
Our Battlefield Community Night takes place every week on Hump Day (Wednesdays).
With the new title coming we will likely have a weekend event as well.
Requirements
We value our people, that you have a life outside of the community, and the community playing together over any game or having to “win.” Having said that, we actively play with our recruits to ensure they support the same values we do before granting full membership.
In a nutshell:
- Your age needs to be 25 or above
- Fair Play and teamwork is a must
- Maturity is understandably a requirement
- Swearing needs to stay outside of the community
- Any skill level is welcome and we will grow as a team
- Mics are optional but most use them and they make things so much more enjoyable
If you are a good human, want to get away from the name calling and immaturity, and can meet our age requirements, talk to us.
Accolades
Pork Chop Platoon has survived for more than a decade by adhering to a strict but fair and surprisingly simple code of conduct. Our members are very diverse in every regard, but we all agree to treat each other and those who we game alongside with respect among other things. Besides all this you will likely improve your game, have a better gaming experience, and will win games as well.
