BATTLEFIELD 6

WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE?

Wondering when they will start announcing info on the alpha. I'm also curious as to how many people believe the hardcore mode should be a bit tougher? Like bring back the commander option, I think that was pretty bad *. Can you folks imagine the insanity!!!! I mean, if the rumors are true, and the maps are as massive as they say they will be?? Another good thing would be if they required people to meet certain requirements to be squad leaders who actually PTO. What do you folks think? Like have an option for all the prior military folks who would looooove to be part of this. I've played with a couple of other vets before, took command of 3 vehicles and with AT/Engineer (ESSAYONS!!!) troops. The communication and coordination was superb. At least it think these ideas would be nice if they were to be considered for Battlefield 6. And...maybe this would be to much, but what if there was a bit more immersion with civilians and wildlife casualties? maybe some actual wounds??To dark??? heeheehee.....as I was.

★★★★ Guide

Send In The Dogs!

Customizable 'breed options' might necessarily include the Exploding , Targeting or Radar variations .

The second two could be small (Rottweiller-sized?) while the Exploders might be bigger (deer-sized?) .

(I'm on the fence regarding tiny 'Chihuahua Dogs' being able to run small explosives into occupied buildings)

. . on-n second thought , Go For It !

AT Mines that work like BF4's AA Mines except they position themselves and 'hide' after being instructed where to go .

('hide' meaning the TV screen covering its front side shows an 'eyeball' observer what the camera on its rear side sees)

Autonomously-fired just like AA Mines or (exciting dog/deer variable) they suddenly rise from cover and 'deliver' its prize .

Airborne Drones . . . no imagination required here because of what's already out there , other than thinking that they could be made to be the equivalent of flying Dogs with their own multi-purposed capabilities .

These would be just 3 of the sorts of very lethal threats you'd need to consider before even thinking of running up front to fight .

Since Run-n-Gun and Vehicle Usage methodologies are still the most popular forms of fun in BF's this would likely mean a vastly increased reliance upon our often-missing Support Game aspects of fighting which would allow it all to occur .

We'd definitely need more Soldiers fond of finding and eliminating these things using their own available anti-tech technologies .

(Think you're safe launching tech from afar?  A Soldier holding a handheld radio-source tracker is almost on you , or a drone just locked-on)

I'm thinking real 'Specialists Of Tasks' here ;  badges , perks , rewards etc. for those who would become famous/infamous for what they do very well .

I'm seeing it fought as a constantly multi-fronted war of battles , with mind-boggling amounts of available roles and activities for everyone , everywhere .

(especially if there's 128 'variables' all adding their own variables to this mix)

While I still see plenty of room here for all of those FPSers who like to fun-up on good old-fashioned pew-pew and all that swell shooter stuff (Specialists too , they are after all) , it's this newly-allowed access to 'other' fun ;  for those FPSers whose tendency towards 'good times' might consist of not using guns in an FPS ;  that I find really exciting .

Where do I pre-buy? Thumbs up

It’s not going to be jet packs and lazer beams like you might think, It will still be modern whilst being able to utilise the latest tech and concepts. That’s even if it is 10yrs ahead, could be 5, could be 1.

I’m all for going forward, tired of history now but as you say so long as it’s not full of lock-ons and stupid tech like mech suits, jet packs etc, but I’m confident DICE will make it as realistic as possible.

The content I'm referring to was based on Battlefield 2142 which had neither jet packs or laser beams but did have mechs, hover tanks and titans which were being developed during BF4's time period. Hover tanks were already playable so if the new Battlefield were to be a direct sequel and take place 10 years after BF4, it would either have to incorporate these sci fi elements into the game and accept that it isn't a modern game at all or ignore it ever happened and accept that it isn't really a sequel to BF4.

I'm personally for the latter, I would prefer a pure modern military Battlefield game with no historic restrictions whether that be from historical fact or their own fictional history.

That being said, lasers are used in modern military and jet wings are things that exist now so to be fair, they would be more believable than the other things mentioned :P

Considering rail gun on US navy ship, guided bullets, robotic dogs, robotic stationary gun and Helmet huds with drones exist now. 10 years from the end of BF4 is around 2040 well it could be a very interesting technology.

I am interested in the superpowers who are not RUS/US. Does that mean CANUK,  EU,  China, India or MEC?

Yeah, I feel that when people say they want "modern warfare," they really mean they want old school 80s-90s  warfare. I honestly wouldn't mind if they did use actual modern technology in the new game but I suspect it's not what a lot of people might want.

And yeah, I really do hope they have other armies other than US vs the commies again, especially if they plan on having the level of customisation that Battlefield 5 had. I really liked having separate loadouts per faction.

In multiplayer Xbox can turn off crossplay. In war zone they cannot. I agree with the ability to turn it off and be able to play with only consoles or my console only. Cod warzone does not work great with crossplay (just my thoughts and experience) but I’m not alone in that thought. There is a very big outcry for consoles only ability in warzone and in a lot of crossplay games in general. I have been waiting for this game since bf4 and I would hate to see what is happening right now in other games happen to this one because the console players are being dismissed and their thoughts and wants being ignored.

on the positive I’m super excited and I’m impatiently waiting for June ea play and more information on it!

looks great so far!!

@CarbonCarl Can't believe you didn't share the Battlefield leek trailer yesterday 😆

@Player55 Interesting links. The natural disasters angle for destruction would be pretty cool to see in-game. Plus we've already seen them use weather effects to change the flow of maps and so on, so could be a natural progression of that.

@ElliotLH  I did see of it but didn't get a chance to actually take a look, plus I tend to stray away from anything posted on April Fools Day lol.

@Player55 I did see this one yesterday as well which is a nice bit of info. It fits in nicely with the previous rumours of levolution utilizing the entire map, I'm certainly looking forward to this aspect of the game, it's gonna be good! (confirmed not an April Fools).

Just a couple of additions now I'm safe from the fools day:

  • Battlefield is going to be a more accurate representation on 2030's military combat compared to Final Stand, so there won't be any hover tanks etc.
  • It's not going to be Sci-Fi, everything in Battlefield will be based on vehicles and weapons actually in real world development right now, this also means no railguns (for now).

I'm sold on the 2030 setting. Though why not push it to 2040 to create more freedom to add stuff that creates battlefield depth. The more stuff there is: the more stuff there is to balance the game around. More stuff.

Kind of old news but it looks like some of the information being leaked might be true.

"A prominent leaker who shared speculation about Battlefield 6 had their Twitter account suspended, as well as being forced to remove all related videos from YouTube.

Tom Henderson, who has previously leaked information online about Call of Duty games and, more recently, Battlefield 6, has spoken out after having his Twitter account suspended, seemingly in relation to information he shared about EA's upcoming shooter."
