Lost maps with the game Battlefield Bad Company 2 on PS3

I bought this game like 6 months ago, and it wasn't cheap for a 6 year old game at the time. I'm playing on the PS3.

It's my second copy. And now what? It still brings me some joy but i's almost useless to me now.

I've been following this thread for 10 days now and still no answer on what's going on.

You are planing to close everything down, right? Please inform us, this is ridiculous.

A widespread and long running issue this. I'm equally frustrated by these maps being unavailable on my favourite game. I assume others have tried but currently discussing in live chat with EA, the guy I'm chatting with has escalated to specialist team and waiting response. Have highlighted this thread to them, will post reply when get anything.

Ok so lengthy chat with EA support, they reckon they found a solution. I'm off to re-download the 'dic' as they called it, i.e. the maps and extras from store and try again. Not holding my breath. Will re-open with them if doesn't work, I have a case ID.

A bunch of us has tried to re-download the dlc, but with no result.

Some even completely re-installed the game and updated, and some even reset the player profile.

No results.

What a surprise, didn't work. Went back to EA chat, then got a phone call. Very vague, wouldn't admit to EA shutting down maps or if there was an issue. Said to go to Playstation which I already have, PS said to go to EA! So no answers forthcoming from any source. Guy at EA on phone said they would investigate and email me but again, not holding my breath. Some things that came out on chat were 'This game is not supported by Studio anymore' but then the agent appeared to back track and not confirm exactly what that meant. Some honesty and clarity would be useful. But for now have given up.

I don't understand why they can't fix it. It is clearly on there end if all console's are having the same problem. I really like the game but now it is lacking with just the base maps.

Come on EA fix this game.

J'ai appelé à plusieurs reprises la hotline d'E.A.

Ils m'ont demandé d'ouvrir ce sujet ici car il est lu par les ingénieurs E.A.

Suite à mes derniers appels, voilà ce qu'il ressort :

• le Studio E.A. a constaté nos problèmes de disparition de cartes BF2.
• il y a un problème au niveau de leur(s) serveur(s).
• ils sont en train d'essayer de le résoudre encore en ce moment.
• aucun délai de retour à la normale ne peut à ce jour nous être communiqué.
