HELP!

So, I haven't played this game in probably a year or two, and decided to load it up and go play some multiplayer. I do the usual thing of copying the CD key to the clipboard, logging into my EA account I made when I first got this game, but when it asks for the CD key, I put it in, and then it says this key has already been used. So, do I just get locked out of multiplayer, or is there a way to fix this?
