@DICE_Straatford could you possibly confirm server hosting locations for portal? There's been no confirmation if there are going to be South African servers for example.

@Straatford87If I were you, EA, I would release a 10 hours trial of the game on all platforms (origin, steam, the works) with most of the major bugs ironed out. It won't increase preorder sales but it will guarantee to restore a lot of faith and increase post-launch buys a great deal if the game is awesome. You've lost a ridiculous amount of sales from that Beta fiasco, but the damage can be repaired.

I wonder how XP balancing is going to work. Are there ways put in place to prevent the ease of boosting or power levelling caused by the extensive customization?

Yes typically there will be thresholds, so certain parameters (or some parameters in combination) will result in the server no longer counting as "official" towards XP, weapon unlocks etc.

Aka, if you set the bullet damage multiplier to 300% and the soldier health at 30%.

We had similar in previous servers run by community server owners.
