The road ahead is goddamn bumpy, fasten your seatbelts.

cannot believe you guys actually released this game. ive had about 100 hours atm, and im so disapointed....Destruction is tuned down, maps are crazybananas boring, 128 players is way too many, specialists with pretty much any weapon/gear, vehicles feels boring and dull.

The list goes on....

This will without doubt be the last Battlefield i preorder, i have had so much faith in you Dice, but you guys never deliver.

Listen to your community/fans for once, or this franchise is already dead.

Pls take a look at previous Battlefield games, such as Bf 3....Take some inpiration from that game.

Hope any of you devs reads this and actually listens to me.

Best Regards

Lehnz

Re: Battlefield Briefing: Launch Update & The Road Ahead

★★ Guide

The December 9, 2021 update has address many Issues,  hit reg/hit boxes, spread recoil have improved on most weapons but the Sniper Rifles range is greatly effected by increased Bullet drop (this is realistic but it appears that depending on which scope the drop increases at a shorter range) The 8x for NTW-50 was a excellent long range scope, now the Bullet drop is insane at ranges less than 500 yards...no longer a 1 shot kill except a Head shot.  The Tank Grenade launcher range is very short, even if the weapon reticle is elevated the range effectiveness is not increased by many yards making it ineffective except close range. Overall performance seems to have increased, before update my average FPS was 100 - 120 depending on the map/mode now it is 120-130.  I will State this again, it is Fantastic that Dice has this as cross platform, but I as a PC gamer find the Aim Assist to be a little overpowered.  I am aware this is a feature built into the Console but Why not equal the playing field and incorporate the function of Joysticks/HOTAS for PC Gamers, much more fun and realistic.   The one thing that gets under many players skin is Bunny Hopping, Camping(but I guess Battlefield is the new CoD(campers on duty)).  These posts are read and hopeful that suggestions are taken by Dice.  Cya all on the Battlefield.

Re: Battlefield Briefing: Launch Update & The Road Ahead

★★ Guide
@Harrison_Fart I can understand console players who want to play with I have always Gamed on PC but own 4 different consoles, I do not game BF2042 on console so I am unaware of the options Menu within console, in PC Mouse?Keyboard or controller(xbox for pc) the Peripheral devices need to expand but in my opinion(this and $2.50 might get you a cup of coffee) the Keyboard & Mouse.is no more an advantage for PC than the Aim Assist for console controllers(TBH contollers have the advantage) but.depending upon the console the USB ports are limited and as I have discovered from my kids wanting the same, not all keyboards & mouse models can be used. There are always third party devices to allow this use but beware many is considered a cheat. 128 player servers are for the new consoles based on hardware, but the option for cross-play can be turned off in the options then you will only play with console gamers. There is no in game VOIP to cross talk, Squad needs this at a minimum, the Leaderboard needs major improvements, no matter what your Gaming system is. See you on the Battlefield

DICE, please consider devising some method for implementing singleplayer/splitscreen offline bots into Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield Portal post-launch.

the servers are DOWN or somewhat  for several weeks now

i tried joining games several days in a row and i cannot join a single game with my monster internet connection

i have to wait 15-30- or even longer to join a game

and now it doesnt work at all.

no annoucement of server maintainance, no excuse or apology, NOTHING

the game even removes me from the waiting queue from itsself

seems like dice wants the servers to be empty

but i dont believe dice is fixing the game

there are major issues and bugs still after the last patches and i think they all went on a holiday or something like that,

they dont deserve a break

they MUST deliver a finished product   no break no sleep nothing no holiday

they truely * up the whole game and even copy and pasted so many things and included so FEW weapons and FEW maps and uneccessary sht

even an indie. dev. team would finish the game from scratch in a year with 100 weapons and 30 maps...

pathetic excuses from ea and dice      always stealing money even in advance   and not deliver the finished product

i sat high hopes into this game but now i think its time to delete origin for ever

get out of my sight EA

@iigloo I Disagree that BF2042 is a Dead Game, granted the Road ahead will hopefully get better and Dice needs to make Improvements, but there has not been a Battlefield Game released since BF1942 that did not contain Bugs. Over the Years as the want for a larger Battlefield came into play the Bugs became more obvious, BF2042 being the 19th Title in the series still needs much work to Earn the Respect of Gamers, both Console & PC.
I compare the Gameplay to the past game Titles BF4, with similarities to BF2 (BF2 Modern Warfare) and BF3, even BF2142 (Northern Strike) but even all of these Titles had their Issues and more than a small amount of Bugs. I have been gaming for a long time and am used to the Games needing to be fixed when broken, patching and overall Improvements, but this being a Cross Play Title has proven to be challenging.
All Gamers on any Platform wants the Game to perform as Advertised with a huge fun factor, I write this so Dice knows that BF2042 has the potential for Greatness with work and improvements.
This is only my Opinion and I Hope to see you all on the Battlefield!
