Greetings,

 

Some expert advice is required here, thank you.

I am actively attempting to purchase the game Battlefield 4, now during its 50% sale.

My son informed me of the sale and we agreed that I shall purchase it for him as reward for recent progress in school, however I can't. 

The error message listed as subject is what I get whenever I try to complete a purchase.

 

"Your request could not be processed. We're unable to verify this credit card"

 

I have tried to complete the purchase from within Origin's client, from Origin's Web-page as well as on the Battlefield site.

I have checked my account balance to confirm that I have the funds.

I have contacted my bank and they acknowledged that everything is working fine.

I made several other online purchases in order to rule out any issue with my card.

I have tried three different browsers, Firefox, Chrome and I.E.

I have attempted to purchase other things from the Origin store, same error regardless of product.

I have attempted various "fixes", proposed by EA Staff, such as tampering with Java, try to add payment information prior to adding a product to my cart, etc etc etc.

 

I have also tried to complete the purchase with four other cards, but nothing works!

In addition, I've waited for "Live Chat" for one hour, when the states waiting time is under 5 min.

 

 

We're both incredibly disappointed with Origin as a service and this is not the first time we've had major issues with it. 

If nothing is done soon, we are ready to turn else where with our money and loyalty and part from Origin for good.

I am really sorry, but we can`t manage individual accounts on our boards, you should raise this with the EA Advisors https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/.

poohstick17, I get the same error message when attempting to add payment information as well as when trying to check out. 

Also, I have already tried this as mentioned in the top message.

Hi Dodogong, you will need to try and get in touch with an Ea games advisor again who will help you out as they are the only ones who can deal with accounts/billing issues.

I have the exact same issue mate and im getting really tired of origin!

 

I have tried purchasing it for my little brother as i already have it and want to play with him, but get the same error as you, yesterday i got another one called #10048.

 

I have tried with 3 different credit cards that I KNOW work and it has worked before on my own account. I have been in touch with live support two times and now they are saying that they will send me to the specialists which i hope they do...

Hey @TimmydimmerOrigin can be a pain in the neck at times.

 

As you've already been on to the EA games advisors hopefully they'll get you sorted out as soon as possible. Never hurts to contact them again and find out how those specialists are getting on with dealing with your prob.

i had this issue. check if ur credit card/ debit card has a fixed spending limit. It was $0 on mine so i had to change it. Hope it helpsStandard smile

I've had the exact same issue. Trying to purchase the Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat gamepack. So I requested the help line contact me and he did and after putting me on about 15 holds he said "our expert is working on it and they will e-mail you with a solution". That was what he told me after 45+ minutes of him putting me on hold.

 

I told him the issue was with Origin not with my card. I let him know, while I was on the phone with him, that I had made online purchases through google play that went through just fine. I quadruple checked my bank account's fund status which is fine as well. He also had the audacity to tell me that "well in all honesty, they said it's your bank with the issue but they asked me not to tell you that as they said they will work to fix the issue on our end". WHO SAYS THAT TO A CUSTOMER???

 

FYI he kept asking me how I purchased the Sims 4. I did....at Wal-Mart. He asked me if I used the same card then as I am doing now....How is that beneficial?? Does Wal-Mart and origin have combined transaction history to pinpoint the error..haha I think not!

 

Anyway, I called up my bank and they literally laughed at what the Origin "billing and support specialist" had to say. They went on to say that my account and cards are in perfect standing condition. I should have no issue processing a payment. They offered to stand by while I tried to process the payment. I told them I wasn't even getting that far, because the website can't verify my card, the transaction isn't even beginning. My bank assured me the issue is with Origin.

 

I've read countless forums of this issue, yet Origin seems oblivious to the fact that they have an issue. I'm sick of COMMUNITY MANAGERS FOR EA just copy and pasting standard procedures. They don't work for everything. Your system is not working, so fix it. I'm just here to vent, I as a customer shouldn't have to beg a company to take my money so that I can play again. I'm frustrated and I'm no longer interested buying a game.

2) Press 'New Case'
3) Select Platform after that press Next
4) Select a relevant Topic and name then press next
5) Select a contact method, I recommend call back but note that call back is only available in certain Countries.
