Can you confirm to me what you are trying to do, and on which platform? Different platforms have different restrictions on account creation - more information on your situation will allow me to give you a better answer.

Not working for me. My I just purchased a copy of battlefield 1 for my son along with his new ps4 so we can play online together, but he can't get online at all with his battlefield 1 game due to this stupid account *. $60 for a game he cannot even play. I feel really ripped off right now. I have spent 3 hours of my day today trying to get this to work. I cannot link the accounts the first way because when I go to ea or origin websites the option to login with psn is not there. I also cannot link the accounts the second way because when after downloading the origin software, and installing on my mac when I go to "find friends" it does not give me an option for xbox or psn. It just lets me type in their names, and thats it... WTF? I assume I can probably get the game to work if I get rid of his sub account, and create a regular account for him, but we have other games that we bought digitally that are linked to his sub account so we would lose those. This is just plain ridiculous. If I spend $60 for a damn game, I expect it to work!

Hey @DitzelsDiamond,
I was just able to log in via PSN with the link above provided by Tom. You might end up on a Titanfall page with an error message, but clicking on "Login" afterwards will still let you log in to your Origin Account and prompt you with your console and Origin name on the next page.
Could you specify where exactly you are encountering issues when trying to log in?
