zorlacc, i really appreciate what you're doing but i'm not going to check my whole pc for just one game.

this is just something that EA/DICE is going to have to fix.

everything else works just fine except bf4, so i doubt there's something wrong with my pc.

Well fair enough fully your choice on all of this. But just to give you a heads up when I had issues in BF4 I had a issue in windows but had no clue on it as errors only showed up in BF4 mileysurprised:  I was not until I took a good hard look at my PC and windows was I able to fully fix the game. Yes it was a pain to do and it took me a long time to get my PC good to go as I hunted down a fix for every error in event viewer and fixed them all. 

Have you ever tried to talk with EA staff reg this as they may have a fix for this ...

I found what whas causing it.

As i use W8, windows defender is installed as an app, not as a program, i didnt notice the program being installed.

Windows defender whas messing up my game.

turned it off as i use malwarebytes anyway and the problem dissapeared.

I tried adding you on Origin. I'm having the same problem, and I was wondering if you ever found a fix for it.

Just got off chat with EA and here is what they did for me that fixed the sound bug with all the games in Origin:

1. Please click on the Origin menu on the top left of Origin window and select Exit option(if origin app is open)
2. Please hold down the Windows Key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
3. Type %ProgramData% and press enter to open ProgramData folder.
4. Delete Origin folder from this ProgramData folder.
5. Type %AppData% and press enter to open Appdata folder.
6. Delete Origin folder from the Roaming and Local folders.

After opening Origin back up, let the files verify and try the game to see if you have sound. If you do not try the link below that walked me through clean boot up of your PC. That was finally what did it for me.

So I had this issue with Battlefield V just now, and I figured out that Nahimic VR was interfering with audio. So if you are an MSI user, you may have this on your PC. I uninstalled it after having a rage fest and now everything works fine.
