getting a direct x function error when i try to join a server

This is the error for the GTX295

running latest driver, latest direct x

win 7 64bit ultimate

I tried this and I worked FINALLY!!!!

This is what solved it for me:
In the Documents, in Battlefield 4\settings there should be a PROFSAVE_profile file.
Edit this and change the 0 in this line to 1:
GstRender.OverallGraphicsQuality 0

Just checked and don't seem to have any settings folder?

Right I fixed it!

It appears in battlefield 4 folder in my documents there should be a settings folder. This did not exist for me.

After stealing a friends folder and putting it there it worked!

Download these [link-expired]

extract them and put them in battlefield 4.

It should look like 

My Documents / Battlefield 4 / settings

Getting same errors when trying to join server. The launcher just freezes and crashes after a couple seconds. Tired doing multiple drivers, no luck.
