You have lost connection to the session

[ Edited ]
★★ Novice

Every time I try to join a server it gives me this splash screen five seconds into joining the session. Even if  I click ok the "joining server" message on the top right corner stays there and I cannot connect to any other server. Also, all the servers are showing the exact same ping for some reason. I have tried port-forwarding and all the troubleshooting steps but nothing seems to work.I have a decent internet connection and my system meets the requirements of the game. Pls help . (update)---> just found out that i can join a game via quick match but not through the server browser or favourites tab Standard smile

@Teriammikayaar Do you get any error at all ? Other things to look at and try....

1- turn off PC

2- Unplug power from modem and router if you have both

3- Leave it unplugged 10 min no less

4- If you have both modem and router then ... After 10 min plug modem back in let it fully boot up. Then plug in router and let it fully boot up.

5- Then turn on PC test BF4 and see if it helps keep you connected to the server.

Other things to look at the windows scan will make sure windows 7 is not helping to make the issue.....

Test your windows for errors as a clean windows install does not always make a stable windows.

NOTE: Running SFC does not guarantee the crash will not happen, but it will ensure it is not because a windows Dll or file is corrupted in windows.

This works in all windows O/S vista Win7, Win8 , Win8.1 and win 10 windows system file checker :] Copy and past this to note pad and put it on your desktop. As open programs can give you errors when you run this.

sfc /scannow, ever hear of it if not your going to love this, it will inspect all the important windows files as well as the windows DLL files. If windows system file checker finds any issues with the windows files and windows DLL files it will replace them / try to fix them. This little tool as well as the event viewer on a PC saved me and fully helped me fix my BF4 issues as well as saved me many a format since I found it. This is the best toy they ever put in windows :womanvery-happy:

-For win7 go to start/ bottom left screen / windows globe .. Right click in search type cmd and right click cmd pick run as administrator.

1-Open administrator command prompt and close web pages and programs like Origin, Steam etc.

2-Type or copy and paste in sfc /scannow and hit enter, This takes 5 min to 15 min SSD vs HD

3-This can go one of a few ways ..... no errors ... it fixed some errors ..... could not fix all errors...... does not finish checking and errors out ....... and the last one could not fix errors at all :/

4-After its done REBOOT PC and Run sfc /scannow again even if you had no errors the first time or had errors, could not fix run sfc /scannow again and when its done a second time reboot. You need to do this a and get no errors 2 x in a row ...

5-So if you ran it 2x and no errors your safe you can stop. If you had errors first time but not the second then run sfc /scannow again and when its done reboot. You need to get could not find any errors 2 x to be safe. If it still finds errors try and run it a few more times until it finds no errors 2x AND ALWAYS REBOOT BETWEEN RUNNING sfc /scannow

6-If you get a message indicating that it can not be repaired and you ran sfc /scannow more then 3x in a row on win vista or 7 mm you need a format or try repair win 7 :/ But after format or repair and all updates are done run sfc /scannow to make sure your windows is stable same deal 2x error free reboot between them.

@Teriammikayaar @jubby923 Can you both try to join though Battlelog and see if you get the same error?

1- Log into origin

2- Open browser and log into battlelog http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/

3- Join a server though battlelog

I could magically join servers the day I posted this issue here and now it doesn't seem to work at all. Even the quick match isn't working now.
P.S I usually get 140-170ms ping on EU servers.

@Teriammikayaar What error message do you get exactly if you try to launch the game via Battlelog?

the same he posted don't kid your self the trial versions are blocked from playing any non empty servers.

i have been trying to play single match with a friend .

but sadly this game only wasted 3 hours.

tried to do all the open ports sjit.

run as admin etc  but  don't ever waste my time with these recomendations if.

EA PERFECTLY KNOWS WHY TRIAL VERSIONS CAN'T PLAY

and you expect me to shelve over money ?

i owned bf2  and expansion .

but EA practices have never made me return really.

In case if you have Battlefield 4 Trial version, you are able to play only on Official Servers. To see all official servers, please go to Server Browser and go to your Filter. There you should tick Official type under Filter by server name. Then click Apply Filter.

that's not what the error message says

also this also  happens if you launch games with the quick match button so this is terrible design .

why should people have to go trough  trough forum to figure this out ?

it's 30 second work to enable this by default in  trial versions.
