Why isn't the companion app working

I keep trying to access my account on the app multiple times and it wont work. Worked fine for my bf4 before on my ps3 and now it says i need to log in to my account which i have

You are still on PlayStation 3? Have you tried to restart your console? Your Internet connection works fine?
