BF4 has a bug with the machine guns. Example: enemy comes up at point blank range and while I am firing at full auto the game mysteriously pulls out my knife and in the middle of a fire fight I lose because the game (NOT ME) pulls out my knife and I die. Also, another aggravation is when a rivalry builds up -when a new game starts the rivalry ends because the game brings over the person that has been cutting your neck off all day and makes you kiss and make up by placing him on the same team as me. Well, screw that-I want some revenge and the game kills it when it does that so I just leave the game altogether...p'd off.

I have never heard of such a bug or anyone complaining about it before. Are you sure you are not just panicing and pressing the knife button?

As for the team balancing, it not being there is worse.

You should check your controls config, maybe you accidentally select the knife, I've never had this issue I guess you are the first one experiencing it
