Squad join not working in bf4

My friend recently bought bf4. And now we are trying to play tpgether but squad join doesn't seem to work. If i create a squad my friend isn't able to see it and join it. He only can join if im already in a game. But than he mostly comed in the other team and we wamt to play together. Is there a solution?
