I already know the answer to whether or not it's possible, which is no. I'm just wondering why this is not a thing these days? Especially with the release of Battlefield 2042 coming up and the previous Battlefields going on sale. I'm sure plenty of people started playing Battlefield on Xbox or Playstation and have since moved on to PC gaming. I personally played a boatload of Battlefield 4 in the past and it is a little depressing that I have to return to a game that I loved and play as a level 1 with none of my unlocks, stats, or level progression. Of course, I will still play, but I still see no reason as to why it would be bad to implement progress transfer between platforms, especially if you bought the game twice. Does anyone have an explanation for the reasoning behind this?

It sucks, I was on the grind for lvl 100 and at lvl 95 but one day at work, our house caught fire and destroyed pretty much everything. Instead of buying another xbox at the time, i ended up buying a PC and have been struggling without all the unlocks i had and what not. Still have fun but i guess its time to start a new grind before BF2042 releases

Come on guys, as a BF vet it will not take you much time to unlock your preferred weapons and accessories again.
With regards to your XP level, nobody really cares about that anyway.
It's all about having fun playing the game and that is still top notch in the BF4 game!
