Hello everyone!
My problem started recently, because I played bf4 like 3-4 weeks ago and everything worked fine.
So, assuming: when I try to join a server the blue bottom pop-up says joining server, then it dissapears and nothing. Battlefield won't launch.
In task manager i see usage of process bf4.exe goes up, then Windows error reporting comes on (as a process, not a window) and bf4.exe dissapears.
Event viewer says that is error 0x0000005.
I already tried:
- Reinstalling BF4,
- Reinstalling Origin,
- Reinstalling vc,
- Reinstalling .net,
- Reinstalling plugin,
- Launching as administrator.
Please, could anybody help me?

Hello @3ceSLU
Can you please try this solution http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/Application-could-not-be-started-correctly-bf4-exe-Error-code... ?
Also, try to disable "Origin in game" in Application Settings of Origin and please go to your Library and right-click on the Battlefield 4 icon and select "Game Properties" , select "Advanced Launch Options" and select Battlefield 4 (x64) or (x86) and Save. Then, reboot your PC.

I had same issue after last 2017-03 update of BF4.
The solution was to go to bf4 directory and undo compatibility settings of BF4X86WebHelper.exe and BF4WebHelper.exe. (untick run this program as administrator), that I had made long ago for some reason I cannot remember.
Now the game can start.

Hey... @3ceSLU
These steps should help with most errors that can occur on launch.
-Look for the Battlefield 4 folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4
-In that directory, find the folder called _Installer.
-In _Installer, navigate to the VC folder, then vc2012Update3, then redist.
-In redist, find both the x86 and x64 versions of VCredist.exe.
-Run the two files, which will install both versions.
-Try again to launch your game.
[Am not working for EA, If is answer good pls give me XP or accept as solution.]

In my BF4 the x86 and x64 files it is vcredist. x86_DiP_STAGED the same with x64 too. and it won't launch. It asks for an app to open it. What app?
-In redist, find both the x86 and x64 versions of VCredist.exe.
-Run the two files, which will install both versions.
-Try again to launch your game.BF4 folder

Tried all those things. I have:
- Reinstalled punkbuster,
- Tried to "repair" vc since I had it installed,
- Ran with and without administrator,
- Checked disk for errors (no errors found)
- Tried disabling origin in game
- Tried launching it in 32-bit mode.
Still does not work. I have no idea what happened, I swear I played like 3-4 weeks ago.
Any other ideas guys? I'm becoming sad

I have been trying to fix this all morning, I had tried everything. But just by going into BF4 settings < game properties < Advanced start options < Then switched the game from 64x to 86x it finally worked. I hope this works for you all, if so upvote this reply
