Items Always list as New even after use

XBox One Console

 

So, this started as just all the items I earned since a specific date listing as new (with the orange triangle in the top right corner of every item).  I hop on the game and cycle through all the weapons, attachments, camo, dog tags, awards, etc. to clear those annoying triangles out of my way.  I turn off the game, then start it back up, suddenly they are all marked as "New" again.

 

Customer support said to remove and re-add my XBox Live profile.  I did just this and HEY! It fixed it....or so I thought.  All that did was give the "New" items a new start date.  Meaning now every item earned since I re-added my profile back to the XBox lists as "New" item each time I start the game.

 

Customer support said to uninstall and re-install game....geez...really?  That's a 6 hour process....oh well, did it overnight.  Problem was not fixed.  In fact, now I'm getting randomly spawn killed by people on the other side of the map, through half a large conquest map's distance, all covered by a half mile of cement and steel (Operation Locker).  Sometimes it says I was shot with machine gun, other times it just says "Killed by 'Player A'" but shows no weapon being used.  I also got spawn killed four times in a row by a guy that wasn't even listed as being in the game on either team.

 

Even better, ever since re-installing the game, every time I boot it up it starts with an awesome dialog box stating something along the lines of "Thank you for redeeming your DLC code.  China Rising will be ready for download in December."   -- What?

 

Network is fine, rebooted, updated, etc.  Also performed two months worth of troubleshooting on the network from my console all the way to a live game server.  Yes, it was an actual server.  I completed this troubleshooting with an extremely nice and patient Executive of EA so be aware...if you think network blah blah blah...understand...it's already been tested about 1,000 times with high level employees of EA and passed with flying colors.

 

Does anyone have a resolution for this?  I was told to "Wait for customer support specialist for assistance within the next 48 hours." However, I don't believe it...I'm still waiting for a specialist on all my open cases....months and months and months worth of waiting.
