So I got a gift card today that has 100 dollars loaded into it. I typed in the credit card number and the cvc of the card. But once I get into review my purchase and accept the terms of use and confirm my perchase it shows me this error. "Unable to process your payment" ref#. 10049 PLEASE HELP

You need to contact EA game advisor directly!

I too did the same exact thing. Just got off the phone with an EA/DICE representative and they said that it has to do with the card itself and to either try a different card (preferably an actual credit card is what he told me) and if it still dont work then i would wait for them to call (after you followed the instructions above from the EA/DICE member) if you still have any problems.
FYI: make sure you have ur error message, ref #, and possibly your case number if needed. This will make assissting you easier for them

Try going to the website on the back of the prepaid card. You might need to register a billing address that you will use when you checkout.
If that does not work you can try using Paypal on Origin.

You must save your billing information to your origin account first to make any new purchase in the new origin store after you save it log out and log in to origin and you will be all set to go
if you don't know how to do that go to origin press origin in the top bar scroll down then press Account Privacy after that press Payment and Shipping and then add your billing information
if this does not work then
For this you will need to contact Origin/EA support they will gladly help you whit this problem https://help.ea.com/en/origin go here press contact as give information press I still need help at the bottom of the page and then press start live chat and you will get a live chat whit an EA agent that will be glad to help you
