How to install Origin version of BF4 in launcher won't update to ea

I just got BF 4 China Rising (pc).  Of course, it's an Origin version.  After screwing with it, emptying cache, deleting environmental variable, it finally started to launch with a message that it was updating to EA.  I thought 'all good."  Not so much.  It still after updating and reloading my entire EA library it still won't install BF4 and I get a message to re-install Origin.  WTH??
