Fixed Now Origin Let Me Play Dead Space
June 2018
On Origin's website when you try to download through there, it'll download a "thin" version of the installer; whenever I've tried to reinstall using that, I kept getting that same message. But, with the regular, non-"thin" version, it installed fine. Keep in mind however, that I've followed the steps to delete all of the required things that've been posted in that thread that's being passed around when people have this problem.

Where did you download that 'non-thinversion' then? I'm having the same problem...

Where did you download the non-thin version? This problem is still not fixed for me.

Update: deleting the Origin folder under Program Files, the cache, and running the installer fixed the problem.

I know this is an old thread, but had the same problem with my origin client , win 7...
followed the above steps about deleting all the different cashes
restart pc, try to log into origin , crashes.......... uninstalled origin then
downloaded the originthinsetup.exe and got the no qt5svg.dll error .......... !
Came upon this thread...... and read that bkvf1280rtypms downloaded the full version of
origin setup........ and it worked.......
So, had to find a site that had the full origin.setup which was located at :
https://www.techspot.com/downloads/5783-origin.html
installed the originsetup.exe file rebooted and logged in and , Finally it's
working again , also mass effect andromeda runs and loads old saves.!!
So, why doesn't origin let me choose between installing the thin client and normal one ???
