Game disconnected: you are missing content from the game.

★ Guide

That is the error I get when I try to join a naval strike or second assault server.

The game starts up. First the black screen and normally then the map should load but it exits and I have that error in battlelog.

I am a premium user and have played both DLC before.

Been in contact with EA chat twice and had my second chat directed to an E-mail specialist. Which pointed at me doing things I have already done several times: Uninstall the web plugin, reinstall the game. Still did them again but still nothing.

So before I contact EA chat again I thought I also make a post here. So I can also link this in chat.

Things I have tried:

Uninstalled the game.

Uninstalled origin.

Uninstalled the browser plugin.

Manually deleted some leftover folders of origin in programdata and appdata local and roaming folders.

Check the registry at: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 4 if those where removed.

Did a cleanup of my system with CCleaner. Cleaned the browser fully and the registry.

Then reinstalled everything. Downloaded everything new. After reinstalling checked the same registry settings if XPACK0 and XPACK2 are present and have the string value 'installed' and set to 'true'.

Reinstalled the web plugin.

Did a PB update with both pbsetup.exe and pbsvc.exe.

Also did repair installs of the game and the DLC's.

All of that did not resolve it. Above things I at least did twice.

Tried different browsers. Also installed the game on a second PC and still the same error.

Checked my game file size. Which is 39.7GB. XPACK0 is 5.33GB and XPACK2 is 4.96GB. Same as my other online friends have.

So at this point I am sure there is nothing wrong with my installation. The base game and china rising work fine. It is just those 2 DLC's. My guess is the game checks my account when it starts and something is wrong there. To bad I cannot check that in some way.

Problem is solved thanks to EA chat.

They disabled my old Naval Strike and Second Assault access files, and then replaced them with new ones.

Then I did a repair install and it worked. I can access both DLC's again.

I hope this thread might help someone else in the future.

I have same problem...I can't acess to  DLC maps and my DLC assigment weapons gone... DAO-12, GOL Magnum, AS VAL etc... I have 14 service star with AS VAL (China Rising maps works but Second Assault and Naval Strike I can not acess).. I get disconect and same error. I try to reinstall game..reinstalled the web plugin, I did a cleanup my system with CCleaner... Nothing help... I need Live chat help???? Last night I spent over one hour on live chat but no one can help me. If I lose my DLC weapons and my stats because of this bug I will never purchase any EA product ever.

You can try this:

RegEdit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > EA Games > Battlefield 4

Is there a folder called Xpack0
If YES -> Click on Xpack0, There should be a String value, the Value should be 'True'  (check all of them)
If NO - right-click on Battlefield 4 > New > Key
a new folder will be created, name it Xpack0
right-click on Xpack0 > New > String Value > name it 'Installed'
double-click on the String; set Value Data to 'True'

Do this for Xpack0, Xpack1 , Xpack2  (3, 4 unreleased)

** Don't put the ' marks in

I just had this problem again for the first DLC. So if you have this problem with any of your DLC's I recommend that they do the same thing for all of them.

Sure hope the last 2 dlc's won't give me this problem.

I am having the same problem, but on Ps4. I just dont know where to un-install things. I feel like I found where to unistall things but China rising doesnt show up. Only the full Bf4 game?! Is the DLC connected to the game in some way? If i uninstall Bf4 will it unistall the DLC as well or will i lose everything?

Try this - note it is copy and pasted from a previous crash/freeze topic I posted on Wink

Try updating your graphics card - or even still, go to where your BF4 folder sits - so for mine it's Program Files (x86) > Origin Games > Battlefield 4.

Then go further into _Installer > directx > redist > DXSETUP - this'll reinstall some DirectX - I had an issue for a few days where I couldn't join a single server, I tried phoning them up, no luck, tried here, no luck - then on one server attempt, it mentioned I got kicked because I was missing a DLL, so upon research, I found where it was - which is what I mentioned above, and it now works.

I know it's already solved - but I didn't have to disable anything Wink

I have been getting this same issue since May 28, 2014.  I have tried uninstalling Origin, web browser, BF4,  and on Origin Update game, Repair game.  I even tried all the above and still no fix.  I even tried a different web browser worked for a bit then same issue again.  I have currently uninstalled BF4 twice since Dragon's Teeth came out.  I am highly pissed as Battlefield is my favorite game.  I hope to get this problem fixed soon.  Can Someone please help as I really want to get this thing fixed
