FIX FOR BF4 STEAM LAUNCH ISSUE:ASKS FOR CD KEY, PLAY BUTTON GREYED OUT ON ORIGIN

I have the chat log from my support help earlier, This is a origin issue that can be fixed.  The ea support told me that they needed to reverify the game on their end.

You need to contact steam support to get the refund for your purchases.

here is the full log, he told me that he was easily able to fix the issue that shows your play button greyed out.

the issue is on origins end. if they say that they cant fix it then there wrong... the issue has to do with how the game is verified through steam to be opened on origin. all the ea support did for me was reverify the game on his end. he said that he can see my origin games library and see that the launch icon was greyed out. and was able to fix it in about 30 seconds. trust me ive been dealing with this since the 28th of last month and ive tried everything. the issue is not reinstalling or uninstalling anything. it has to do with origin and how the game is verified through steam and can only be fixed by the origin support.

There have already been several reports that they CAN fix it. The issue is that nobody knows how, and when someone gets it fixed nobody can tell us how it's done, so we're just stuck going support ticket to support ticket hoping we eventually stumble upon someone competent. I must've talked to at least 7 people by now. Unfortunately, this post doesn't really help solve anything

@Evelyn_Akimbo also i didnt have to bother posting on the forum to try to help anyone, i just wanted to help out anyway i can becasue one of the * ea support guys on live chat told me that "nobody comes back to the forums if their issue is resolved" and just out of spite i came back to the forum just to make sure i could pass along my solution and maybe help someone else out.

( 21m 37s ) khushal: Well, I had a look at the account, the main entitlements for the game were disabled and that should not be done. I just activated those entitlements to ensure you are able to download and go online in the game.

I had to go through Indian support to get live chat, so there's a chance that "entitlements" is not the exact translation they would have in the English support system. Something like authorisation, permissions or privileges would make more sense to me.

Now we can finally get into being annoyed by the browser battlelog 😂

@LAMBEAUXx they can't add or remove game from account. I think it may be trouble from steam side, a day before the troubles i requested refund and cancelled, it might be the reason of trouble
