Hi @dgtale

Clear Origin cache and for this you get a perfectly detailed post from @EA_Nils >>http://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin/my-origin-will-not-update-my-sims-4/m-p/4721983#M163410

Restart your machine .

Make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights

Then go in Origin / My Games tab -right Battlefield 4 and chose "View Game Details". There, next to "Details" there's a tab that says "Cloud Storage". There's an option "Restore Save"-pressed it.

Job done but...

  1. option "Restore Save" is now disabled (see Capture1.png), it was enabled before starting the "folders deletion process"
  2. when I join a server I get again the sync error (see Capture2.png)
  3. when I exit the server I get again the sync error (see Capture3.png)

It looks like there is something wrong with my profile on your servers.

@dgtale

Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights https://help.ea.com/help/faq/using-ea-help

Go into your Origin -go to Account Settings scroll down. You will see that sync cloud data is either checked or not. In your case it should be checked. Just uncheck it. Now close Origin, and try now.

I have tried again without success. What about the SSL errors in the log?

@dgtale is about the Registry keys (of your windows) must be cleaned, otherwise it'll have reinstalled the operating system.

But you can try this.

-ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client.
You need to do this add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1

-clear DNS cache
https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/CKB/How+To+Clear+Your+DNS+Cache
- clearing hosts file
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

And try the resetting your Internet Explorer settings: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737? then..

Open Internet Explorer and clicked the little gear wheel in the top right corner of the browser.
-click Internet Options
-click Security Tab
-click Trusted Sites
-click Sites in the little box
A window popped up and had the Origin web address in the 'add this website to the zone' box.
-click Add
-click Close

Restart your machine.

Make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights

Hi dgtale,

I am having a similar problem like you but with Mass Effect Andromeda.

I followed the steps described here but I am still getting this error?

I did a reset of my modem also did a dns flush - no success.

Did you do anything else to fix this problem?

EA Community Manager

Hey @lionheartfkoz,

if you come across the error that your cloud save cannot be synced, you can try to manually overwrite it with your local one.

- Deactivate cloud sync in Origin

- Launch the game and play to create a newer local version of the saved data

- Close game

- Activate cloud sync in Origin

- Relaunch game, you should now be prompted if you wanna overwrite your cloud save

You can now overwrite the potentially corrupted cloud save by choosing the corresponding option.
