ERROR Could not communicate with BF4.

I can't play the game at all anymore! Since the last time the game crashed, I've been getting a red banner/popup at the bottom of my browser (where it normally says Joining Server, Loading, etc) with this message: ERROR Could not communicate with BF4. Please use the Task Manager to close it down.

I've restarted my PC, uninstalled Battlelog plugin - nothing works. Help?
