EA Support Not User Friendly

I have been on the EA site for well over an hour trying to get answers regarding the Battlefield 4 game. You guys do not have a number to call for immediate support which is horrible for customer support. I found a number online but when I call I was greeeted by an automated recording that welcomed me, directed me to the site and then disconnected.

I simply wanted information as to why my promo code is not working. Instead I have to wait to get feedback from customer service. At his point we are no longer sure it is worth investing in this game.
