OK i think i have a solution, you need to be able to get into game, don't deploy.
Hit escape and go to video settings, change to windowed and apply.
Change other settings to low and apply.
set back to fullscreen and apply.
This is just a Maybe, But try doing stuff in windowed mode UNDEPLOYED (In game menu not in game itself)

As OP, anytime a menu item is changed (Video settings, Key Bindings, etc) BF4 goes to window mode and produces the bellow error:

To be able to make changes, I alt-entered which forced it into windows mode (and gave the DX crash) then I can change everything. About to try to alt-enter to get back into fullscreen.
