Can't get through the ship in South China Sea mission [ps3]

So I've got a little problem. So far there has been no bugs, until now. I'm stuck at the 'find Irish' in South China Sea mission (mission 3). I can get past the briefing room and to the cafeteria, but after I walk past the door there is nothing, but I can see the whole ship inside there. There is supposed to be some stairs apparently, but no. After I try to walk ahead it appears like I'm walking in air, and if I take a wrong step I will fall to water, which then takes me to eternal loading screen. 

How to fix this? I want to beat the campaign but this bug makes it impossible. Anyone else ever encountered this?

@PatPal98 Hi, are you still encountering this? If you choose to replay a mission rather than resuming does that help? Unfortunately you'll lose some progress but this should stop the issue from re-occurring.
