Yes it is quite annoying seeing as how I would enjoy playing this game that I spent 60 dollars on =/
The issue has supposedly been narrowed down to this file for me
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WER8C5A.tmp.hdmp

I'm running the same rig as you and have the same problem when I run the game in 64 bit mode.
I can run the game in 32 bit mode, but I wouldn't call that 'working'.

When trying to join a server, I get the following message as the game starts to run:
Error
Game disconnected: something went wrong.
So far I have tried the following things to resolve the issue so far with no success:
Reinstalling punk buster.
Installed the vcredist_x86.
Repaired BF4 Install.
Uninstalled BF4/Reinstalled BF4.
Set properties in origin for BF4 as 64 bit.
Ran trouble shooting steps with Techs online.
I have been escalated to a specialty tech. No telling how long this will take.

Was getting this same error. Literally shut down my computer for a while came back updated to windows 8.1 and now the game works. I don't know if there was a patch but glad it's finally working

Agreed. It worked for about an hour today for the first time, but now, not so much...

Hi!
I've done excactly the same...
Even the yelling part.
I have geforce GTX 760m, i7 4700HQ, 12 GB ram and ssd and experience the excact same problem.
I'm so glad that i'm not the only one who has this problem. I am just looking forward now to either a DICE update or a geforce driver update.

After 2 1/2 hours in chat with an EA help advisor with no solution to this problem, I was told my case would be escalated to a specialist. This is what I was presented with: "I have this all ready to escalate, it can take a few days as they a little backed up from the holidays. When they find a solution, they will email you with instructions on what you need to do from your side there."
So basically what I get out of this is, "too bad your game doesn't work like it should. When we decide to fix i,t we will let you klnow."

I know it's a stretch, but I'm a XBOX 360 user and I've had the same problem. I deleted all bf4 updates, HD content, cleared my cache and I could finally run the game. Now it's a matter of disc unreadable errors...
