Hi, sometimes the game does indeed randomly crash for no apparent reason. Annoying!

But if it happens ALL the time then trying some of these might help:

-Reinstall Punkbuster.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 and select pbsv.exe . Choose 'reinstall'

- Make sure you download and install the latest Battlelog plugins.
First uninstall old Battlelog plugin by going to "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" and removing "battlelog web plugin".
Then log in using Origin and go to battlelog page where you'll be prompted to download latest web plugin.
After you have installed it you should clear your cache, exit your browser. Then restart your browser, and then re-login to Origin to ensure proper install.
If this doesn't work then you should try a different browser (Chrome/Maxthon/Firefox, etc)

-Disable Origin in game.
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Hope this is some help.

dear poohstick17,

Thanks for your effort. I tried all the things above but it still crashes every 4minutes. Do you have any other solutions?

Thanks in advance!

I found some error messages

Files that help describe the problem:
  C:\Users\Jacky\AppData\Local\Temp\WERAC18.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
  C:\Users\Jacky\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC248.tmp.appcompat.txt
  C:\Users\Jacky\AppData\Local\Temp\WERF886.tmp.WERDataCollectionFailure.txt

Hey drakuu, I know you've reinstalled it already..but 9 out of 10 times the crashing is usually caused by Punkbuster.

Go to TASKMANAGER and check PROCESSES to see if PnkBstrA.exe *32 is showing up.

When Punkbuster is installed it should show up all the time in Taskmanager as PnkBstrA.exe *32 - if it does not show then Punkbuster is incorrectly installed.

If PnkBstrA.exe does not show for you then:

Try this:

In Windows Control Panel uninstall Punkbuster.

Also uninstall Origin. Then go to https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download and download and install updated Origin. Make sure to install as Administrator.

When that is done:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 and delete the PB folder from your BF4 game folder.

Now, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 Right Click  'pbsv.exe' and select 'Run as Administrator'. Choose 'reinstall'.

Install advice for Punkbuster https://help.ea.com/uk/article/punkbuster-technical-issues

Also: If you try to play the game in 64 or 32bit mode does it make any difference to the frequency of the errors?

-Start Origin, Right Click on BF4 game to select 'game properties', and choose X64 (or X86 for 32-bit if you already have tried playing the other way) in the 'when launching this game' drop down menu. Now laucnh game and see if it still crashes on you.

If any of this makes a difference let us know.
