Hello
I'm from Ukraine.
I had the exact same problem as you.
After 40 percent of the installation of the game Battlefield 4was not determined.

I have long searched for a solution and found (thanks to the person on the link) that the problem is in the registry.

You have to hand to add a line in the registry
AB Install Dir REG_SZ D: \ Program Files \ Battlefield 4 \ Battlefield 4
Provide your path to the downloaded game.
I have earned at once after reboot.
Install icon icon has changed to Running.

thank you very much orb1t4l

Where do you have to add this line? What exactly do you need to add?

Hey Guys,

I had the same problem and have managed to fix it. The registry editing part may not be necessary so try the command line part first. I put them in the order I tried things, sorry if it's confusing.

1. In the registry editor (type regedit into the windows start menu) I added the following lines to the battlefield 4 registry. to add a line, right click and select new string value, type in the name. double click on the new line to add the value/data.

Key Name: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Battlefield 4

Name: GDFBinary
Type: REG_SZ
Data: Z:\Games\Battlefield 4\GDFBinary_en_US_64.dll (put your install directory here. if you are using the 32 bit version your file won't end in _64)

Name: Install Dir
Type: REG_SZ
Data: Z:\Games\Battlefield 4\ (put your install directory here)

Name: DisplayName
Type: REG_SZ
Data: Battlefield 4™

Name: Locale
Type: REG_SZ
Data: en_US

2. run the command prompt (type cmd into the windows start menu). Find your battlefield installation directory using the using cd\ command. Should be something like ..\Battlefield 4\__Installer\. (remember it is 2 underscores) Run the touchup program by typing the following;

touchup.exe install -locale en_US -installPath "Z:\Games\Battlefield 4\" -autologging -startmenuIcon=1 -desktopIcon=1 -Opt:InstallPB

(Obviously put your install path in there. you can also change the -startmenuicon and desktopicon values to 0 if you don't want them.)

I hope this helps out, certainly drove me nuts all afternoon. If anyone gets stuck on any part of this let me know.

Cheers
