going into day 5 with trying to get BF4 to run on my pc, which has had it running before.... i have spoken with 5 "Support Specialists", now I am starting to lose patience and faith in EA and Dice...
The problems are as follows
the game will either fail to download files correctly, leading to a roll back during download, i left BF downloading for 12 hours one day and it never finished, if i do get the game to install correctly, then the game will attempt to run on my pc, I can see the process for BF4.exe start up, the memory gets to 44mb used then it will sit with no CPU, as if waiting for something
I have done the following to try and fix this
Redownloaded the game 4 times
attempted to download the game using a "clean boot"
attempted to download the game on a brand new admin account
attempted to download the game using safe mode with networking
attempted to download the game using a clean install of windows
disabled the firewall on my router
placed my pc in a DMZ
disabled my virus checker whilst downloading and installing the game
added an exception to BF4 in my avast
uninstalled avast
added the google DNS name servers to my network connection
