Re: Battlefield 4 crash on startup (PC)

★★★ Novice

Found this fix on the battlefield forums from another guy:

guys simple fix:

try it out -_- It worked for me. I experienced crashes but now its gone.

Desktop:

Right click any game icon you wanted the mode to play x86 or x 64 > properties > run > minimized

On origin:
Right click game icon Game properties > when launching this game> (choose either of the 2 it depends on what you have tweaked on desktop or the game mode you wanted to play)> check disable origin in game for this game

update graphics drivers or else you will just get a distorted in-game graphics

So it looks like you're on a laptop, do you only have this GPU or do you have a high performance GPU as well?

Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
       Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

My gut feeling is that your laptop's GPU is defaulting to your onboard GPU which probably doesn't meet the minimum specs, so if you have more than one GPU specify the  high performance GPU to run BF4.  If you only have one GPU, the on board GPU what is the model number?

Battlefield 4 System Requirements

Minimum:

OS: Windows Vista SP2 32 bit (with KB971512 Platform Update)

Processor: AMD Athalon X2 2.8 GHZ, Intel CORE 2 DUO 2.4 GHZ

Memory: 4 GB

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 3870, NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT

Graphics Memory: 512 MB

Hard Drive:

30 GB

Recommended:

OS: Windows 8 64 Bit

Processor: AMD Six-Core CPU, Intel Quad-core CPU

Memory: 8 GB

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Graphics Memory: 3 GB

Hard Drive: 30 GB
