Battlefield 4 (bought) won't launch, displays that "EA Play has expired"

Similar issue as described here but now with the EA App instead of Origin:

I bought the game back in 2014 and with over 2500 hours of playtime i am now no longer able to launch the game. It's displaying that I need to renew my subscription to EA Play to launch it.

Now to EA play, i had a ea play subscription back in august 2023, just for one month. So as of September 2023 my ea play subscription expired. The thing is, i was able to play battlefield 4 up until 28 of march 2024, the list of removed games says that the game has been removed on September 20th 2023.

I already chatted with the ea support and they could not help me. They told me to create a forum post.

Hi @C4PT41N_COLD I'm afraid that account issues can't be handled through the forums as nobody here can access your game account.

However, do you own Battlefield 4 separately or have you only ever played it through EA Play?

As mentioned i bought the game back in 2014, never played it through EA Play.

@C4PT41N_COLD It's potentially a permissions issue in that case.

Since it'd be an account related issue, there's very little we can suggest to help you out here (there's nobody here who can access your game account unfortunately). Really, this is something EA Help would need to investigate, so you may need to try again with them.

@ElliotLH Hey thanks for your replies, i was talking to the ea support yesterday and he told me to create a post here in the forum, since he is unable to fix this issue. I had more luck today, the problem has been resolved by now, but i can't tell you what they did since they just said the fixed the issue. So if anyone has a similar issue just keep talking to the EA support.
