BF4 [PC] Deleting unwanted DLC's

★★ Novice

My BF4 folder on PC is 55.8 GB.

I don't want to play 'China Rising', 'Second Assault' or 'Naval Strike' anymore.

Can I delete these DLC's and the game still work OK for 'Dragon's Teeth' and 'Final Stand'?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\Update\

In this folder I have:

\Patch (2.84GB)

\Xpack0 (5.33GB)

\Xpack2 (4.96GB)

\Xpack3 (7.22GB)

\Xpack4 (7.09GB)

Can I delete some of these? and if so, which ones?

Thanks Confusedmileywink:

PS: Does anyone know how big the BF Hardline download will be on release?

Yeah you can delete the Xpack folders.  I'm pretty sure you will get a nag screen saying you need to redownload it.

If you do get that nag screen and it bothers you.. I think I have an idea on how to fix it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > EA Games > Battlefield 4

Delete the Xpack# you deleted.

That didn't remove the nag screen?  Okay second idea.

Close Origin.

Copy the BF4 entire folder somewhere else.

Open Origin

Uninstall BF4.

Close Origin.

Copy the BF4 entire folder back to \Origin Games\

Open Origin

Install BF4 + the Xpacks that you still want.

Certainly that method would take care of it I'd think.

No clue about BFHL size.  Want me to guess?  30GB to 50GB  , 110% out of my butt.
