By the way, for the people that is going to get this problem on the Second Assault DLC you have to remember that the registry key is named Xpack0

Xpack0 = Second Assault

Xpack1= China Rising

The rest is the same, just add the "Installed" string value to "true" inside the Xpack0 key and you'll be good to go.

Just happend to me and it worked.

@xbowmanx42 Hi,

Did you try the work-around already that was posted earlier in this thread? You can find it here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/BF4-PC-China-Rising-DLC-Problem/m-p/2017861#M72246

Cheers,

Nils

Okay, what you can try next is the following:

  1. Log out and then close the Origin client
  2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\Update
  3. Delete the "Xpack1" folder.
  4. Now Open the Origin client again and log in with your account
  5. Right click on Battlefield 4 and choose "Check for Update"
  6. This will allow you to reinstall the expansion and it should work afterwards.

Cheers,

Nils

Please first make a backup copy of your registry as described here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/back-up-registry#1TC=windows-7

Next check out these steps below:

1. Log out and fully exit Origin

2. Open your Registry Editor - Type in regedit on the Start Menu Search field and press Enter

3. Navigate through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > EA Games > Battlefield 4

4. Check if there is a folder named Xpack1 under Battlefield 4

If YES -> Click on Xpack1, on the right pane check if there is a string named Installed, the Value data should be True

If NO - right-click on Battlefield 4 > New > Key

- a new folder will be created, name it Xpack1

- right-click on Xpack1 > New > String Value > name it Installed

- on the right-pane, double-click on Installed, set Value Data to True

5. Exit Registry Editor

6. Log in to Origin and Join China Rising Maps

Update (thanks gimemo!): If you are experiencing the same issue with Second Assault, please repeat the process above but with Xpack0 instead of Xpack1.

Xpack0 = Second Assault

Xpack1 = China Rising

Let us know how you get on!

Cheers,

Nils

I tried to apply this fix but the problems comes back randomly and only with certain servers.

Is there anyone else having the same problem? Any solution?

Hey Origin and EA Games guys! You got to solve this problem!!!

TY! it works now. In my case the Xpack1 was not there so making a new one and changing the avlue to true made it work.
